Have you take a photo from this spot? Take one now.
Seeing me putting on long sleeved sun shirt as we got out of car: This is not necessary. You don't need that.
Why are you walking over there? I have shown you the best place for the photo.
Driving as always is an experience, best not viewed closely for long periods. As we were hurtling along the highway at high speed, with several trucks oncoming, he decided to write on his business card to give me. JMJ! I couldn't watch.

It was very hot walking along the waterfalls, but the views were worth it.

We had lunch at Krka before heading back to meet our driver. Sam tackled a very substantial steak while I opted again for fish. Good choices all round, apart from the "premium" wine Sam chose.

After Krka, he drove us to a very hidden-away lookout spot. The view was amazing with Plitvice lakes in the foreground, and the Adriatic sea in the background. Unfortunately the middle of the day was not the best time for photos, so they are all a bit glary.

Driving up to the lookout were stone structures with a cross on top. These turned out to be the Stations of the Cross, set around 100m apart, giving a 1.2km trek up a hot and rocky path to complete this Catholic ritual. Not for me, thanks.

Len read about the drivers communication style and suggested I don't need to do the ancestry DNA test, as I am clearly 98% Croatian.
ReplyDeleteHaha. How could you even say that, Len?
