We all met at a petrol station on the canal, hugs all round and awaited our skipper and boat. Although we twice confirmed it would be a sail boat, it was not, but for the price we were happy.
It was a very bumpy ride for a while requiring significant balance and counter balancing skills to hold a full beer aloft while the boat moved with the sea and the chair legs moved somewhat randomly.
Eventually we anchored in calm water to await the sunset. All the young people clambered to the front of the boat, but I took a good 10 minutes to decide it was safe for me to do so. We chatted and laughed the whole time, and then all went to dinner. Marvin was the master of the group selfie. Good times. We may have had more wine than strictly necessary at dinner, making the early start for the young'uns somewhat difficult, but that's what youth is for. The oldies had no such bother.

| No this is not how we dressed for the boat trip. I just liked the dress and the sky for the shot. |
